One of NOFMA's roles is to help our members succeed. NOFMA achieves that in part by providing training opportunities in a number of areas designed to help members improve processes. This training is offered as standardized courses about a specific topic or can be customized to meet a specific member need.*
Grader Training
A standardized course taught by NOFMA mill inspectors. Typcial class size is 10-20 participants. Course is taught at the mill and scheduled around grader shifts at the mill's discretion. Course is customized as necessary to address issues specific to the individual mill's needs. Graders receive training in NOFMA Grading Rules and how to improve accuracy in order to maximize profitability. Distributor Training
A standardized course designed to help distributor personnel better understand NOFMA Flooring Grades and the meaning of NOFMA-certification. Course is taught at distributor's location and scheduled to meet the distributor's specific needs. Course is open to distributor personnel and their customers. Specialized Member Training

*The costs of member training are dependant upon the amount of staff time needed to conduct the training. Members are charged a per day rate for the instructors' time plus the costs associated with travel and course materials.
