NOFMA member products carry third-party certification of grading and manufacturing standards. If it is not marked NOFMA, it simply is not certified. Only NOFMA-member product carries with it the assurance that comes from the NOFMA grade mark.
NOFMA mill inspectors make quality control visits to every member mill at least quarterly. These mill inspections are your assurance that manufacturing standards are being met and that your own quality control procedures are working. When NOFMA inspectors identify an issue at your plant, they will work with you to address this issue and ensure your product is consistently on-grade at the correct moisture content and properly configured.

NOFMA supports its members’ products in the marketplace. Every manufacturer has experienced field complaints or claims related to manufacturing. As a NOFMA member, you will have the support of the NOFMA technical department, including field complaint inspections on request. Without NOFMA it’s just your word against the consumer’s and you know where that winds up.
