NOFMA establishes minimum average length requirements for each NOFMA flooring grade. The average length of the pieces in a flooring shipment will affect ease of installation, coverage expectations and the frequency of end joints that will appear in the floor. Generally speaking, the clearer the grade, the longer the average length requirement.
